If a person obtains a FYFIN membership and becomes certified under FYFIN, all certifications will remain in active status while the person is a member of FYFIN. FYFIN Members who pass a written test will receive the digital certified logo which can be placed near their digital signature of their emails.
If a member does not renew their FYFIN membership annually, there certifications will be dropped within 90 days after the membership's expiration. After 90 days, the student would be placed on non-active certification status and their digital certificate logo, that was sent to them, would need to be removed from their email signature. If after 90 days a person would like to be listed as certified again, this person would have to apply to retake the FYFIN written exam.
Students are not required to become a FYFIN member when sitting for a written exam. All certified non-members will have to pay a recertification fee of $75 to FYFIN every year to maintain this FYFIN certification.
